Platinum Pools celebrates 20 years in the swimming pool business.  Our slogan “We Can Prove the Difference” is demonstrated by a list of over 3,500 happy customers. Building a swimming pool right the first time, and helping families spend more time making memories instead of spending time upkeeping.

Scott Waldo, a proud Houstonian, founded Platinum Pools in 1998, with the goal of providing a better and safer swimming pool.  Through hard work and doing what is right, he now presides over one of the most recognizable companies in the pool construction industry nationwide. Scott understands that consumers may not know the mechanics of what a swimming pool represents. His team however, is ready to walk them through from the initial construction to the final product, without cutting corners.

Platinum Pools swimming pools are built with hydraulics, maintenance and safety in mind, with unique items included as standard.  They also have a team of experienced professionals that will help a client to get the results they want.

The company now has over 50 employees, with locations in Houston, Beaumont, and Victoria.  Since 1998, Platinum Pools has received the “Top Swimming Pool Builders in Texas” by some trusted sources, as well as The Best of South Texas swimming pool company in Living Magazine. One of our most recent accolades is the bronze award in the 2018 APSP Region 3 Design Awards.

Apart from having fun building pools, he is active in the industry that he loves. Scott has held many positions including President of the APEC, a lobby group for the pool industry for the state of Texas.  He is also active in non-profit organizations such as the Houston Food Bank, the YMCA, and Child Protective Services. One of his projects was swimming lessons for underprivileged children at the YMCA.

In his spare time, Scott and his wife, Terri Waldo, enjoy spending time with friends and traveling together.  He also enjoys golf (when he has the time).
