Why This Geometric Masterpiece is Our Pool of the Month

This stunning courtyard build has officially captured our Pool of the Month title, and it is a masterclass in modern geometric design, spatial efficiency, and high-end finishes.
Here is a look inside the engineering and design choices that make this backyard an absolute showstopper.
1. The Bold Frame: 24″ x 24″ Oversized Coping
Most pool designs utilize standard 12-inch or 14-inch coping stones around the perimeter. For this project, our design team went big—literally.
We framed the entire geometric footprint with oversized, 24″ x 24″ natural stone coping in a light cream palette. These large-format squares create a thick, highly architectural border that delivers a bold, clean outline. By utilizing fewer grout lines, the massive scales of these stones emphasize the pool’s sharp geometric angles and make the entire pool look grounded, custom, and incredibly upscale.
2. Vibrant Contrast: Precision-Cut Synthetic Turf
In luxury estate design, the transition between water and land is everything. Instead of traditional concrete decking or loose gravel, this pool is enveloped by a flawless, vibrant green lawn consisting of precision-cut synthetic turf.
The turf runs directly up to the edge of the 24″ x 24″ cream coping. This creates a striking visual contrast: the vivid green grass against the light stone and the deep blue water. Beyond the high-end aesthetic, synthetic turf is a dream for pool owners. It maintains a manicured look year-round with zero maintenance, and you never have to worry about grass clippings blowing into the water or muddy feet tracking into the house after a swim.
3. Kinetic Elegance: Waterline Jets
To soften the sharp, modern angles of the hardscape, we introduced kinetic movement and sound through custom water features. Evenly spaced, flush-mounted mini jets stream elegant arcs of water directly into the pool from the far wall.
These waterline streams create a soothing auditory element that masks neighborhood noise, turning the courtyard into a truly private sanctuary. At night, when the water streams catch the pool lighting and the three fire bowls are lit, the fire-on-water reflection is nothing short of magical.
The Intelligent “T” Layout
What makes this design truly brilliant from a functional standpoint is the modified geometric rectangle featuring a prominent, symmetrical T-shape bump-out on one side.
By clustering the relaxation zones together; the expansive tanning shelf (Baja shelf), the flush integrated square spa, and the entry steps, keeps the primary body of the pool completely open. You get the ultimate lounging hub for tanning and soaking on one side, leaving the main lane completely unobstructed for swimming laps or open play. Filled with our premium French Grey finish, the water reflects the shifting Texas sky with deep, natural blue clarity.
