October Pool of the Month

Pool of the Month: October 2026

In Uncategorized by Platinum Pools

A truly memorable custom pool design harmonizes with its surroundings while offering an inviting space for family connection. Our October 2026 Pool of the Month exemplifies this balance. Situated along an expansive waterfront property, this geometric pool pairs clean architectural lines with elevated fire features and cascading water. The result is an extraordinary outdoor living space that serves as a daytime playground and an evening retreat. Here is why this custom project earned the spotlight this month.

The Design Vision

The design vision for this estate centered on framing the natural waterfront view while creating a multi level outdoor living area that flows directly from the home. A crisp, geometric rectangle anchors the layout, establishing clean visual symmetry from both the interior living spaces and the covered patio. Orienting the pool along the shoreline draws the eye across the water, maximizing the sense of open horizon from every vantage point.

Material selections throughout the project emphasize contrast and natural texture. Light stone coping frames the pool perimeter, transitioning seamlessly into large format grey deck pavers that stay comfortable underfoot during warm Texas afternoons. Against the pale hardscapes, the deep blue interior finish creates a striking, reflective water surface that mirrors the open sky and surrounding landscape. Broad deck areas accommodate multiple seating arrangements, allowing the family to dine, recline, or watch the water in complete comfort.

Elevated elements along the far edge of the pool provide vertical interest without obstructing the open water view. A raised stacked spillway wall introduces earthy texture and houses smooth descent spillway into the through. Flanking this wall, two elevated stone pillars support bold fire bowls, creating a dramatic focal point that bridges the gap between natural surroundings and refined craftsmanship. Low profile planting beds along the perimeter add softening greenery and vibrant blooms without interrupting the clean architectural lines.

How It Serves the Family

While the architecture of this pool is striking, its true success lies in how seamlessly it supports daily family life. The layout divides the backyard into intuitive zones, allowing different activities to happen simultaneously without feeling crowded.

During sunny afternoons, younger swimmers can splash safely on the broad tanning shelf while adults relax on the submerged barstools or lounge across the expansive paver deck. The large pool provides ample space for active water games, while the adjacent spa offers a quiet zone to unwind after a long day.

As the sun sets over the water, the space transforms effortlessly for evening entertaining. Igniting the twin fire bowls brings warmth and golden light to the patio, while faux edge provides a continuous curtain of acoustic sound that softens evening breezes. The deep connection to the covered patio and outdoor kitchen ensures the cook remains part of the conversation, whether grilling dinner or serving drinks by the fire.

Durable, high quality materials keep upkeep minimal, ensuring the family spends their time enjoying the space rather than maintaining it. From morning swims to late night fireside gatherings, every square foot delivers long term comfort, beauty, and utility.

Conclusion

Our October 2026 Pool of the Month demonstrates how thoughtful geometry, textured stone craftsmanship, and integrated fire and water features come together to create an unforgettable family haven. It stands as a testament to what custom pool design can achieve when tailored to the unique landscape and lifestyle of a Texas home.
